What’s Blooming April 15, 2011
Here’s the early spring view of our front perennial bed. There’s not a lot of blooms but a lot of GREEN! Yay.
We’ve also got a couple blooms:
Blooms not pictured because it’s either too early or too late: Daffodils, Camellia (light pink), Star Magnolia and Blueberries.
Garden Blogger’s Bloom Day takes place on the 15th of every month and all started with May Dreams Gardens.
Oh, how beautiful! I’m envious of all the green…we are a bit behind you in Brooklyn, NY right now. (at least my yard is!)
Your front garden is gorgeous already – I can’t wait to see how it changes in the coming months.
Love that winter daphne – how big is it? And what kinds of vines are those trailing along up above the fence?

Aimee,
It’s actually a summer Daphne that blooms from now until Autumn – it’s amazing. It’s called ‘Summer Ice.’ The vine on the fence is a white blooming Akebia. I love it.

I have never heard of Akebia – just googled some images of it in bloom and it’s also gorgeous. It must look lovely along that fence when blooming!
