4 – Lilies: My Top 10 Favorite Plants
I love how diverse lilies are. I have a water lily, trumpet lilies, lilies that smell amazing, lilies with black stems, orange lilies…the options are endless. I get a new/different one every year.

The Peony. An elegant flower and plant – I especially love the doubles. Even after the flowers are spent the foliage remains beautiful into the fall.
This may actually be my favorite plant. It’s the first to bloom and smells WONDERFUL. The one pictured below, unfortunately, isn’t mine – mine is dead. It’s a fragile plant that doesn’t like to be moved and needs to be planted in ‘just the right spot.’ All the fussing is worth it.

Daphne
I love Aeonium. These plants are very fragile and don’t last over the winter but are worth buying every year – if you can find them. If you keep them in pots and bring them in the house then you can enjoy them year over year.
The picture below wasn’t taken in my garden but was part of a garden tour I went on a couple years ago. This homeowner was able to keep his Aeonium alive over winter – I wish I could remember where he lived so I can ask him how.
