Since most of you didn’t make it to my garden tour on Saturday, I thought I’d post a little slideshow of the garden. Oh, and it rained all stinking day.

GROW. COOK. EAT. by Willi Galloway is a beautiful vegetable garden cookbook. Great recipes and tips on eating ALL parts of the veggie - not just the mainstream parts.

What a beautiful garden. I love your greenhouse and the plants along your pathways are just gorgeous. Sorry it rained. We had rain here too for our tour. Go figure.

Oh, it’s just beautiful! A little rain cannot take away from how gorgeous your gardens are, that’s for sure. It’s really inspiring and I can only imagine how much work went into making it look so lovely. It’s such a cozy, colorful, inviting space! I love all the flagstone and the little pond and those espaliered trees…and your BBQ area looks like a fantastic place to kick back with a margarita, if I do say so myself. :) Well done!

WOW! Your garden looks beautiful! You have done so much work! I love the stone path, the rain chain (which is on my wish list for our new back porch), ALL the plantings, the raised beds, the mini greenhouse … thanks so much for this virtual tour. So funny, I added one bamboo screen panel to our ugly chain link fence this year and now I want to add them all along the property line this spring.

Jacque, Thank you for your kind words. I love my greenhouse too – it’s one of the best things we ever did for the garden. This year we started our seeds in the greenhouse instead of cluttering up our small house with all those trays. It’s amazing.

Your garden is just beautiful–and immaculate. I’m not just imagining the effort of getting it that perfect; I’m on a big drive to fix my very large, numerous and neglected gardens for magazine photos this month. I only hope I can get it as neat and well-prepared as yours.

Your home and garden are breathtaking. I’m a beginning gardener, I’m learning as I go but loving every minute of it. I’m steadily working at making my home and garden look as welcoming and calming as yours. Beautiful work.

wow! i don’t know you at all, and don’t even really remember how i stumbled onto this site (oh wait…it was the greenhouse made outta windows) but i’m so glad i did! what a joy to see your beautiful yard/ garden! i’m so envious! and do you have chickens?? how very cool! beautiful green thumb at work here and all your hard work has certainly paid off. brava!

Angela, I have scoured the net, and nothing comes close to the simple, functional beauty of your greenhouse. I am in zone 5a, and wonder if I could adapt something to even come close! Do you have any instructions or tips, from the construction of this little oasis?

Your landscape is lovely. Will you please talk more about the building of your greenhouse? I am a Master Gardner Intern and have become interested in growing my flowers and some vegetables from seed as a result of my classes,therefore I would like to build a greenhouse. I like your design very much. Could you post more views and perhaps offer some hints on building. Thank You for your consideration.
