My Love Affair with Musée Rodin in Paris

To think we almost missed visiting this museum. Musée Rodin ended up being my favorite place in Paris. It’s home to many of Rodin’s sculptures, including ‘The Thinker’ and ‘Gates of Hell.’  Plus, it has the most amazing garden full of Rodin’s creations.

  1. Love, love, love that museum. Took an art history class when i spent my junior year in Paris. Spent many hours taking notes in front of the Gates of Hell. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

  2. I didn’t realize this museum existed, but it looks wonderful. We have a Rodin thinker outside the Detroit Institute of Arts.

    • We heard about the museum when we hopped on one of those cheesy double-decker bus tours. Plus, we could see ‘The Thinker’ from the bus.

  4. Fabulous. I must confess when in my early twenties to living in Paris for three months. I do not remember ever going here. Shameful! Hopefully I am just forgetting . . . but who could forget these. I did see them or copies at the Hirshhorn in Washington. Thank for taking us along with you! Beautiful photos. ;>)
