Ohhh! Spring has arrived for you! I love the little crocuses! Still waiting here. A LOT of snow will have to melt before ours will see the light of day.
Kylee, I’m jealous of your snow. We should trade places for a week! I bet you have some crocuses getting ready to peek out of the snow & it’ll be beautiful when it happens.
Catherine, I can’t believe mine bloomed before yours! That’s shocking! It seems like all your plants are a couple weeks ahead of mine — except the crocuses! ;)
Julie, the photo will probably need to wait until next year. We just got the bulbs in the ground and they didn’t look like they were going to bloom anytime soon. Sad.
My little squirrel has two giant walnut trees (with all the nuts he wants)and doesn’t really make it to the ground much. There are big dogs and lots of cats in our neighborhood. He’s safer if he stays off the ground.
FREE-RANGE CHICKEN GARDENS. I have the pleasure of being included in Jessi Bloom's beautiful book (pages 27, 51 upper left, 112, 114-117). Check it out!
THE NEW LOW MAINTENANCE GARDEN. This book by Val Easton is one of my favorite design books.
WICKED PLANTS: Great read about poisonous plants by Amy Stewart.
THE VEGETABLE GARDENER'S BIBLE. My favorite vegetable garden reference book by Edward C. Smith.
GROW. COOK. EAT. by Willi Galloway is a beautiful vegetable garden cookbook. Great recipes and tips on eating ALL parts of the veggie - not just the mainstream parts.
Crocuses are like little troopers, they are among the first flowers to welcome spring.I especially like your white ones.

Tatyana, I like the white ones too. They’re so sweet and innocent looking. But I tend to like white flowers over ones with color. Drives my mom crazy.

So pretty! Mine are just foliage still, they’re supposed to be purplish like the ones in your last picture.

Sweet little crocuses. We just have yellow crocus open right now and others on the way.

Randy, I don’t have any yellow ones – they sound beautiful! I may need to get some for next year.

I want some of these, I find the squirrel mafia at my place, sniffs them out and takes a bit bite, just as they bloom!!!
